Downtown arisen almost at the same time that Corner of the Victory (the beginning of the XXth century) as establishment of fishermen in a natural cove protected by the boulders. Without sequestration, the area was already known in the XVIth century like Cove of the Mulberry tree for being a key place in the alertness and defense of the coast.

On the origin of his name, Antonio de Hilarla, chronicler of town of Corner of the Victory, points out that native of the coast comes to him from the form and for a big mulberry tree has along with the real way that acquired big size and old age, heredity of many that the Arabs were cultivating for the upbringing of the silkworms, very important business in the XIIIth and XIVth centuries, along with the aloe-tree.

Cove of the Mulberry tree celebrates his holidays in the first days of July with ditches of jábegas and barges. It is provided with a magnificent beach.
