The boss of Peak of Towers is the Virgin of the Tears, name started to a bust of the Virgin that according to it counts:

It cried at a garden one of Peak of towers, on August 8 of 1706, and after the visit of the bishop of Cartagena, Luis Belluga, he proceeded to verify that that one was true before a notary and district attorney of the episcopate. In the end, in the Pastoral one it ends: "... we declare for the miraculous above mentioned tears, and perspiration, and worship prayer and cult deigns of the Sacred Relic of the Tablecloths, where it covered the perspiration and the tears".
The image has been in the cathedral of Murcia for 289 years, up to on October 16, 1995 that was taken again to the parish, that was constructed in the place of the chapel that existed formerly.

The name of Peak of Towers comes from peak: hillock of ground slightly high, and of the surname of D. Juan Torres, progenitor of those who were Marquesses of the Crown and who inherited thirteen tahúllas in the Alfandarín payment. There is four schools and an institute: C.P. "José Rubo Gomaríz" and C.P. "Maria Auxiliadora" of primary education; "Antonio de Nebrija" private school primary and secondary education; and "School Salesiano «D.Bosco«" from infantile education even secondary.

In the recent years Peak of Towers has been named by the means to cause of which the big rocks of the mount (known like Peak of Cross by his big cross placed in the highest thing) they have been painted of sky blue.
