The term Sangonera, which two share districts differentiated by the epithets of Green and Dry season, presents several versions with regard to his origin. Other defends that, possibly, there treats of a fitotopónimo derived from the proliferation in these grounds of some of the vegetable species that, according to the Anonymous Botanist Sevillian, they were identified by the Mozarabic term Sanqunayra, word proceeding from the Latin Bloodthirsty (blood, bloody) that would apply himself for the above mentioned plants for the color of his sap or of his fruit, or for be using in the treatment of the hemorrhages.
