Lucena is a town of the county of Córdoba, Andalusia, Spain. In the year 2005 counted with 39.783 inhabitants. Their superficial extension is of 351 km² and he/she has a density of 113,3 hab / km². Their geographical coordinates are 37º 24' N, 4º 29' OR. it is located to an altitude of 487 meters and 72 kilometers of the county capital, Córdoba.He/she is the main population in demographic and economic terms of the county, after the capital. It is located in an important knot of communications of highways, in the geographical center of Andalusia.The Parochial Church of San Mateo, included their factory inside the walled primitive enclosure of Jewish Lucena, Arabic and Christian, it was probably the biggest synagogue, the only mosque and later on, the first Christian temple.
