Until the XIX century, Peñarrubia was the entrance door to a district of isolated Liébana for its vigorous relief. The complicated access was carried out from the district Cut-Nansa, crossing the valley of Lamasón first and then and then this municipality of Peñarrubia for Linares, until arriving to Hermida. This road can still be carried out by lorry today in a beautiful journey.   Author Conalmma2
