Forges are a municipality of the autonomous community of Cantabria (Spain). It is located in the western coast of the region although he/she doesn't have coast, and inside the basin of the river Nansa. Their name comes from the ironworks that there was in this term. This municipality is rich in caves and one of extraordinary value possesses: the Cave of Soplao, shared with the neighboring municipalities of Rionansa and Valdáliga.
