Alcalá of the Forest is a town of the district Gúdar-Javalambre, in the County of Teruel. He/she has a population of about 500 inhabitants and it is to 1.404 meters of altitude. Dista of Teruel 45 kilometers and it is the nearest town in the ski slopes of Aramón Valdelinares. Their parties, in honor to Virgin De la Vega are from the 7 to September 10. The day 7 take place the denominated eve, the 8 Virgin De la Vega, the 9 San Asleep and the 10, the Grandmother. The name of Alcalá of the Forest derives of a term andalusí that means "the castle" and of the fact that the King from Aragon, Alfonso II, it donated the town to the monks of Santa María of the biggest Forest in (possibly a military order with origin in a French monastery) the XII century.
