The defenses of the city are the best thing preserved of the whole location. The bases of the turrets of the romanized time and, mainly, the impressive remains of the walls with their moat-channel of "almost 700 meters, a width from among 7 and 9 meters and a depth that, in a lot of points, it reaches the 8 meters "and even well conserved, they give clear it shows that it was a city conceived for the defensive war. One of the most important blockades that suffered that of Sertorio that lasted forty four days was and it put an end to the rendition of the city.The remains of the walls, belong so much to the built ones in Celtiberian time as those built during their romanized stage.
