The city shows the titles of Very Noble, Very Loyal, Very Heroic, Very Beneficent, Always Heroic and Immortal, granted in its majority after its resistance in front of the Napoleonic army in the places of Zaragoza during Guerra of the Independence. All these titles are reflected in their shield, by means of the initials of each one of them.
