As it consists in the book of Benlloch, Catadau already had 184 houses inhabited in 1756, what meant that in little more than one century the town had triplicated its housings and inhabitants.[2] by the middle of XVIII this century, Catadau had 5.538 unirrigated land hanegadas and 1.719 of irrigable, overcoming in both cases to those that had the towns of Llombay and Alfarp. The main cultivation was that of the mulberry leaf for the feeding of the silk worm, as he/she reminds us now the Square of Cuc (Worm) in Catadau.
