In 1535 the chapel fué surrendered by the emperor Carlos I from Spain to doña Mencía of Mendoza, marquise of Zenete for family vault.The occupants of the great sepulcher whose figures appear sculpted on him, are Don Rodrigo of Mendoza, to which so many displeasures gave him/her "els agermanats", and their second wife Doña María of Fonseca, Marquises of Zenete, the work was worked in the year 1554, like it consists in an inscription.
