Mingorría is a town (municipality) of the county of Ávila (Spain), to 12 kilometers of the capital, very official statement, next to the strong line Madrid-Hendaya and the National highway 403 that Toledo unites with Valladolid. He/she has an old population nucleus: Zorita of the Mills. The toponym Mingorría conserves the reminiscences euskéricas [mingorría, of mendi gorría] of its foundation, like it happens in other so many cases of the county of Ávila. Not too much lejós runs off with the hill of Gorría [1.715 meters] and populations like Chamartín or Chaherrero also show this linking. However the true origin of this place continues being a mystery and good could happen that the current establishment was relatively recent, product of the repopulation of the Plateau for vascones and Cantabrian in the Half Age.
