San Antonio or Antón Abbot (Great Heracleópolis, Egypt, 251. .Monte Colzim, Egypt 356) it was a Christian monk, founder of the movement eremítico. The story of its life, transmitted mainly by the san work Atanasio, presents the figure of a man that grows in sanctity and it transforms it into model of Christian. He/she has historical elements and others of legendary character; it is known that he/she abandoned their goods to take hermit's existence and that he/she assisted monkish several communities in Egypt, remaining eremita.
