Cathedral of Le贸n

The current cathedral of Le贸n, begun in the XIII century, presents a design of the purified style French Gothic. Well-known as leonine Pulchra.It highlights the main (gable-wall west) facade, with five arches finely sculpted in the XIII century, with three doors and central rosette, flanked respectively by two Gothic towers of 65 and 68 meters. The plant is a replica of the Cathedral of Reims aunqe something reduced. He/she has some dimensions of 90 m of long, 30 m of high and 29 m of wide. Divided in three ships, of the entrance to the transepto, and five ships of the transepto to the biggest altar. Of them, they highlight the central rosette located in the central piazza, among the two needle towers, as well as those of the biggest Chapel, the north transepto and Santiago's Chapel.
