Valls, capital city of the Catalan district of Alt Camp. He/she has a population of 22.237 inhabitants (2004) it represents 58% of the population of the whole Alt Camp. It is in the well-known area as Field of Tarragona next to the river Francolí, very near to Reus (Baix Camp) and Tarragona (Tarragonés) that it is also the provincial capital.It is of a lot of interest San Juan's Gothic church that goes back to the XVI century and the Chapel of Roser, with a mosaic of tiles on the battle of Lepanto of the XVII century.This city is cradle of a typical meal of called season the calçotada, as well as of traditional Xiquets of Valls castellers or castells.
