The name of Caldes has to do with the "warm" or "hot" word and he/she refers to the hot waters that come out of the interior from the earth to a temperature of 74°C. It is one of the hottest sources in Europe. The Romans already took advantage of this water and they built a spa there that partly has been conserved until our days. They are the better conserved Roman thermal baths of the peninsula. foto:htpp://es.wikipedia.org / sent by Josemanuel
