Són nombrosos els edificis that conservem aixecats to the començament of the segle coincidint amb the treball that realitzaren in terres Catalan arquitectes so noted com Juli M. Fossas (1868 -1945), Josep Domènech i Mansana (1885 -1973), Josep M. Jujol (1879 -1949), Ignasi But i Morell (1881 -1953), Cèsar Martinell (1888 -1973) i Adolf Florensa (1889 -1968), d'entre els més importants. També projectaren in the municipi els arquitectes Modest Tauler (m. 1919), Josep M. Ayxelà Terrats (1907), Saving Sellés (m. 1948) i Marcel·lí Coquillat (1869 -1924).
