I shield Castile and Le贸n

The Shield of Castile and Le贸n, as he/she is defined in the Article 5 of the Statute of Autonomy of Castile and Le贸n, Organic Law 4/1983, it is a shield stamped by real open crown, cuartelado in cross or contracuartelado. The first and quarter barracks: on gules field, a castle of battlemented gold of three crenels, sable mamposteado and clarado of azure. The second and third barracks: on silver field, a lion purple rampante, linguado, u帽ado and armed of gules, crowned of gold.The current Shield of Castile and Le贸n is very similar to the one that took like weapons sovereign Fernando III the Saint, the one which in 1230 it inherited of his father the Crown of Le贸n, being united the Kingdom of Castile and of Le贸n, under oneself crown.It is of pointing out that this shield and their flag were those that enarbolaban the caravels that discovered the New World, since of the Crown of Castile the money and men that went aboard in such a company left.
