As in the whole coast mallorquina, in the coastal highest points the observation watchtowers were built to warn of the arrival of corsairs. Inside the town tamibén defense towers were built to be protected of the pirates. The tower of Verger, restored completely, allows to know this construction type. Picture: Sarang
