The tamarind (African Tamarix) is another plant enough characteristic of the island. It is of kind of a bush of African origin located in the Beach from the Tamarinds to which gives name. Each bush can end up acquiring a height 6 meters and a diameter 1'3 meters, and in general they have more than 100 years of antiquity. The initial distribution of these bushes seems that it followed that of two arrays, but this characteristic has gone disappearing with the years and the natural alteration of the dunes.
