A naveta or funeral naveta are a prehistoric construction of the island of Menorca. Their function was as collective sepulcher, and it was built with big stones and cyclopean technique, that is to say, placed in dry, without cement neither cement. The funeral navetas belongs to the beginnings of the Culture talayótica of Menorca, toward the year 1000 AC, although for their morphological characteristics, very similar to the dolmens of the island, they have been considered frequently much older.
