The Flag of Ceuta is jironada of white and black. It is known as San Vicente's Flag or of Lisbon. It is really one of the oldest emblems in Europe, with the colors of the Order Dominique. Portugal used it as own and during the half age he/she transformed into the emblem of its capital, Lisbon. In the center of the flag it figures the shield of Ceuta that is described in the following way: In silver field, five escusones of blue, positions in cross, loaded each one of five silver bezantes, placed in cross, and a gules bordure loaded with seven castles of gold, two in boss, two in flank and three toward the tip, everything finished off it with a crown marquesal.

The Shield of Ceuta is since that of Portugal the city of Ceuta it was conquered by the king Juan I of Portugal August 21 of 1415. It is compound for a silver field, five escusones of azure, positions in cross, loaded each one of five silver bezantes, placed in cross, and a gules bordure loaded with seven castles of gold, two in boss, two in flank and three toward the tip, everything finished off it with a crown marquesal. But it possesses two main differences with the weapons of Portugal: In that of the metropolis there are three castles in boss in the bordure and alone two toward the tip. The difference of boss's position to the tip goes that is to say in consonance with what we would call dominant or dominated square in heraldry, the capital of the Kingdom - the shield Lisbon used it - or a population more than the Kingdom, like it would be Ceuta. The other difference is the crown that traditionally in Portugal it was the Real one, during a brief term it was the Mural republican and at the moment it is not crowned, while in Ceuta the marquesal is used, since marquis's titles were granted to the governors of the marks, the frontiers of the nations.
