Lorca is a city located in the southeast of Spain, in the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia.They are numerous the legends that you/they narrate Lorca's origin. Most has a mythological character. According to Méndez Silva (1649), a Trojan called prince Elio, next to a Greek called character Grota, the founders of Eliocroca that he/she called this way himself in the Roman time Roman Lorca was. The Father Morote, on the other hand, grants the foundation from Lorca to the Trojan prince Elio-Urzues, navigator for "Mare Nostrum." Espinalt wrote in 1778 that "in the year 4.018 of the creation of the world", a Trojan called prince Elio founded a city to which called [Ilorci]. It was also thought of a combination of the words Heliums (sun) and Kraton (government) to form the denomination of Eliocroca (city governed by the Sun). Lorca's district was already populated by the Ãberos during the Age of Brass (culture of Argar), due to this, it is not known with certainty the year of its foundation.
