The current cathedral of León, begun in the XIII century, presents a design of the purified style French Gothic. Well-known as leonine Pulchra.It highlights the main (gable-wall west) facade, with five arches finely sculpted in the XIII century, with three doors and central rosette, flanked respectively by two Gothic towers of 65 and 68 meters. The plant is a replica of the Cathedral of Reims aunqe something reduced. He/she has some dimensions of 90 m of long, 30 m of high and 29 m of wide. Divided in three ships, of the entrance to the transepto, and five ships of the transepto to the biggest altar. Astorga (of Latin Asturica) is a Spanish city located in the county of León (Castile and León), located to the Southwest of the capital, to an altitude of 868 m on the sea level. It is the capital of the district of MaragaterÃa. He/she has an extension of 46,78 km² and for her the river Jargon reflects. Riaño is a municipality of the County of León (Spain) located to the northeast of the same one, to the feet of the Cantabrian Mountain range, to 1.148 m of altitude. It is to 91 km of the provincial capital and it has a population of 539 inhabitants (INE 2005), known by the gentile of riañeses, with an extension of 85,08 km². Density: 6,33 hab./km2.The current town is comparatively recent. The original population, old Riaño or Old Riaño, it was flooded in the decade of 1980 by the construction of a reservoir.After several intents of building a swamp throughout the XX century, finally the valley in that he/she was (in the one that the rivers converge Esla, Yuso and Retuerto) was buried by the waters in 1987. The project of construction of the swamp gave place to popular numerous mobilizations. Hermitage from among S. X and XII to 1 Km of the town Cimanes De la Vega in León. In May there is a pilgrimage of all the towns of the area to worship their Virgin, of the same name.

Villamañán is a municipality located to the southeast of the county of León, in the autonomous community of Castile and León, Spain, in the area mesetaria of the county of León and for which passes the river Esla.Originariamente was known as Villamagna, name that evolved toward its current version, Villamañán Villamañán is located to the south of the county of León, in the well-known district as Esla-Campos, to 37 kilometers of the city of León and 767 meters of altitude.
