Almansa is a population of remote origins and one can affirm that in Muslim time it was already a town of certain importance. It is probable that toward 1241, year of occupation of Chinchilla, Almansa surrendered to the prince don Alfonso, in time of Fernando III. After diverse circumstances, as the whole area, he/she entered to be part of the infant's don dominion Manuel, and after their son don Juan Manuel who would grant numerous privileges and graces to this village, ratified by Castilian and even continuous different kings by the marquises of Villena, those of Aragon and Pacheco. In 1476, Almansa has already incorporated definitively to Reyes' Catholics Crown as other populations of the marquisate.

Archaeological locations of the neolithic time exist (vessels, utensils, etc...) and of Iberian time (Lady of Caudete, bull head, cierva of Caudete, funeral trail, etc...) that they are in the museums of Albacete and Villena. In the year 1992 in that that at the moment occupies the Neighborhood of the Real one he/she was a town íbero, near to the Castle. This town íbero is the true antecedent of current Caudete, although the economic bad situation of the town of that time didn't allow to reveal the light the and to maintain it, for that that now in the same place a street gets up of having embedded (Street of Miguel Martínez). Later it was a Roman town and Arabic. During the Muslim domain Caudete was formed to each other by six separate population nucleuses known later on as Als Capdets. The most important town was the one that was located in that that nowadays is the Neighborhood of Villa, where outstanding people of the time resided, and where he/she was the biggest Mosque and the Castle.
