The village of I Sprout it is the natural head of the Valley of I Sprout, and traditionally it has been the place of meeting of Conzello of I Sprout, an institution of the valley that formerly made parliament's times and delegation of all the towns of the same one, where they should take all the decisions that implies the neighbors of this; concessions of forest and agricultural exploitations, economic regulations and leases, facerías (specially important in this place those that united it with the French valley of Barèges), tribunal, etc. The institution is still functional nowadays, although in a grade bigger than as he was formerly, nowadays it is mainly governada for the nucleuses of I Sprout and neighboring Torla. Their functions are today very decreased regarding the grade of autonomy that he/she enjoyed with the old jurisdictions, since it had auspice of the real Aragonese house, being regulated their operation for the first time in the XIII century.
