Boltaña is a Spanish municipality, located in the north of the county of Huesca, in the autonomous community of Aragon, and belonging to the district of Sobrarbe. It is the capital so much of the judicial party of their same name as of the district of Sobrarbe (in this case, with capitalidad shared with Aínsa).

Boltaña is located in the valley of the river it Plows, a tributary of the river Cinca, and its municipal pretty term for the north with that of Fanlo, for the east with that of Aínsa, for the south with Aínsa and Bierge, and for the west with Sabiñánigo and Fiscal.

It is located in the valley of I Sprout, in a hillside of a mount crowned by the Castle of Boltaña that was the counts' of Sobrarbe property, today in ruin state although recently a small reconstruction has begun.
