| The white colors of these beaches are fruit from the arrival to this of thousands of calcareous remains of fauna that inhabits on the prairies of oceanic Posidonia. | the island of Menorca presents some clean and crystalline waters that contrast with the white colors of its sands.These colors of the water are thanks to the prairies of oceanic Posidonia, well-known as alga. | They are several the islands that are distributed in front of the costs of Menorca. All they present a high preservation level, due mainly to the absence of human establishments. The fact that the atmosphere of these islands has been little modified, he/she makes that they have acted as refuge of some very remarkable species as the small lizard (Podarcis lilfordii) that before lived in the main island and that today can only be in the coastal islands.
