It is always a small locality located in a scenery showing the green of the meadows, the changeable color of forests of beeches and of ferns, the noise of the water that covers in thousand creeks and ditches. It is part of the calm Vales (the country of the Bidasoa) and between them that are that of Baztan, Bertizarana, Malerreka and Bortziriak (Five Towns) it belongs to the latter.

To part of the typical hamlet of the area, in Arantza they can turn nice civil buildings as the houses “Apezenea ’ and “Xabatenea ” and the Tower of Aranibar, rectangular turret belonging to the Gothic late. Also of interest the church of the Asunción and elements of the interior of the same one.
