In the S. XII the Town knew with spelling “Ubelcieta ” and “Uelcita ”. Ibiliceta was one of those who were forming the vale of Salazar, in which the first one congregated together of the community from which written news has come. His history is that of Salazar, and after the municipal reforms of 1835-1845, her of Sarriés, with which it happened to form town hall. Till then Town was governed by the mayor of the vale of Salazar and for the councilors chosen by the neighbors. In 1847 the children were going to Esparza school. At that time, in Ibilcieta cheeses, cloths and ordinary linens were prepared , they were importing linen, wine for themselves and on all oil, and the cheeses, lambs and wools were exported.
