One of the most out-standing sets is architectural of the Navarrese Middle Age and a finished example of a Cistercian architecture in Spain. The predominant style is Gothic, but also it preserves Romanesque elements of big value, essentially in the church. Hispanic - languedociana is considered to be one of more perfect constructions of the called school .
It has the plant in the shape of "T", with three long ships of six stretches, a big cruise of five stretches and a head with five chapels, and ashlar is constructed in stone and with the austere one decoration.
The entry to the monastery is done under a deep pointed arch, to whose sides, it preserves remains of the ancient wall of the XIIth century, and on this goal, the new palace rises abacial, built-up in 1565 that lodges in his interior a monumental baroque stairs.
After spending the gateway, a wide set discovers integrated for several buildings, which gather together concerning cloisters, courtyards, and wide open spaces.
In the central part of the monastery, to the fund of the square rectangular, there gets up the church of Santa Maria, in which they combine Gothic and Romanesque elements. The above mentioned church, the cloister, Gothic of the XIVth century and the chapter room are the elements more emphasized from the whole monumental set.
Special mention is deserved by the front of the temple, in which there are elements of different epochs, which go from the XIIIth century up to XVII. One organizes in three bodies, and has two rose windows to his sides that illuminate the side ships of the church. A splendid Renaissance tower crowns the front .
Leaned nearby north of the church the dependencies are medieval distributed concerning a cloister, which of the XIIth century only preserves the walls perimetrales. Of between them, there emphasizes it chapter room, where the monks were assembling after the mass for to confess and to chat. Between the last one and the north arm of church, the ancient vestry is, and in the north part of cloister, there is the dining hall, which only part of preserves original walls with vain of half a point and a rose window. Better preserved there are the kitchen and the grand stairs of ends of XVI. About these dependencies are the remains of the cillería and the hostelry and completing the medieval constructions monastery finds the chapel of San Jesus Christ, located in the garden of .
