Lekunberri is located just in the center of the Vale of Larraun and has proper town hall; it borders to the north on Uitzi, to the east with Etxarri and Mugiro, on the south with Iribas and There, and to the northwest with Baraibar, Albiasu and Azpirotz. Placed between Pamplona and San Sebastian has been traditionally a step place between mountains, in center of the vale of Larraun and in the skirt of the Saw of Aralar. From this locality one gains access straight to the Saw of Aralar, where it is possible to enjoy an artistic - cultural enormous treasure so much as for the extensest megalithic fund and to one not less impressive Sanctum of San Miguel, jewel of the first Romanesque one.
From the Tourist information office placed at the ancient Station of Plazaola, rehabilitated, they can cover two equipped stretches like Green Route for senderistas, bicycles or wheelchairs, of ancient railroad Plazaola that was joining Pamplona with San Sebastian.
At the Station of the Plazaola also a Diaporama projects on the resources of nature and culture of the whole area and it is possible to visit an Exhibition of the History of the Train.
