Luzaide-Valcarlos is placed in the muga with the Low Navarre, to approximately 64 km from Pamplona. It is a narrow vale and abrupt, surrounded of forests and furrowed by numerous ditches of rapid fall. The town of Luzaide - Valcarlos is the only locality of Navarre placed to another side of the Pyrenees, fact that awards an aspect and special attraction. A town is with a history. His denomination in Castilian, there evokes the figure of emperor Carlomagno, whose armies were defeated for vascones in the Valcarlos ravines in the year 778.
