The Town hall of Amescoa Baja has one entire population of 823 inhabitants distributed between the places of Zudaire, Baquedano, Artaza, St Martin of Amescoa, Barindano, Ecala, Gollano, Urra. The Capital of the town hall is Zudaire, or that Amescoa Baja is the name that receives it group of the said localities.
It is placed in a beautiful place to the right shore of the river Urederra distributed on the hillside of Saw of Urbasa and faced to the Saw of Lokiz, which does that this locality possesses a few beautiful places. The plateau of Urbasa saw is a paradise of meadows and beech grooves, a sleep of nature in the pure state.

The church is dedicated in San Andrés. Building of medieval origin (XIIIth century) reconstructed in baroque epoch (XVIIth century). Of the first stage there stays the door of pointed arch and a window. The processional cross of silver was worked in Estella and liturgical gold work constitutes the treasure of . The Saw of Urbasa: The Nature reserve, which declaration was done by Statutory Law in 1997, has a surface of 21.408 hectares, which are detached this way: 4.700 you have. of the Saw Andía; 11.399 of the Mount of the Saw Urbasa; 5.190 are of the Mount Limitations, and 199 you have of the Nature reserve of Nacedero del Urederra. The Saws of Urbasa and Andía form like a natural space provided with a wide set of geologic, biological, ecological, esthetic values, landscape, archaeological and sociocultural. They are placed to west of Navarre, in an intermediate position between the call Humid Navarre of the Northwest and the Western Average Navarre or Earth Estella.

One of the singularities of the Saws of Urbasa and Andía, qualified of realengos for having belonged to the Patrimony of Navarrese crown, it takes root in that all the Navarrese have, from immemorial, right time to lead to being grazed his cattle, doing huts and sheepfolds and also to the enjoyment of firewoods and wood for his needs.

The Nature reserve of Urbasa-Andía, that receives annually approximately 70.000 visits, distinguishes for the good one the state of conservation of most of the ecosystems of the Park Native they make possible the existence of a rich and varied fauna. Up to the moment, in the Saws of Urbasa and Andía 145 has taken into account species of vertebrates, of which 94 are birds, 34 mammals and 17 amphibians and reptiles.

Inside this set of species they are some included in the Catalog of Species Threatened with Navarre, such as Alpine merman, the ranita of San Antonio, the Egyptian vulture, the hawk peculiar, the lammergeier, the black whistle, the big bat of horseshoe and the outrage of the pirineo.
