	His place name of clear rural origin, it owes to the big quantity of strawberry tree existing in the place where the downtown began . It belonged formerly to the municipality of "The Castle of the Watches" and it was in the first quarter of the present century, in 1921, when it constituted in independent Town hall. On his administrative capacity the villages of The Poplar depend, Juan Anthony, Juan Gallego y Villagordo. It celebrates the management holidays in honor of "San Blas" three of in February, with dances and recreational activities. In the evening there has place the procession of the Saint who, finished the trip, has special interest in the celebration of "biddings" between the neighbors to be done by the right to do the entry.
