The municipal terme of Flatcar, of 127,55 km ², és the segon més extens of the region després of that of Maella i is troba to the central sector, per ò to l'extrem més western dels termes that administrativament pertanyen to Principat de Catalunya. Pobla de Massaluca limits to the N amb, to the NE i l'E amb they terres of Vilalba dels Arcs i Gandesa, to amb Bot, to the S amb the Caseres terme, to l'W amb the Maella municipi, i to the NW amb Favara de Matarranya i Nonasp.
Alguns historiadors there is identificat Flatcar amb an important ciutat d’Ilercavònia (quoted per Ptolomeu) coneguda per “Adeba ”. Hi there is dubtes on aquest supòsit, per ò és obvi that Flatcar, com the subtraction of them poblacions of the region of Terra Alta, és d’origen protohistòric.
L’historiador Pare Faci, in the seu pas per aquestes terres l’any 1739, goes dir that Adeba significava embarcació i Flatcar recorda a big boat, cap of the qual és joined it of dues valls, Vall Major i the Vall of them Paumeres

És interessant passejar knave els arcs gòtics of Carrer Major, the plaça of Catalunya, the carrer dels Cavallers i the barri jueu. Dins the població hi mateix nucli there is the capella of Mare de Déu of the Portal, nonm relacionat amb they exis muralles, i the petita capella votiva of Sant Roc

Flatcar disposa d'un bon conjunt esportiu, a camp of soccer, a swimming pool, a track polisportiva i diverses pistes of tennis.
L'economia of Flatcar és bàsicament agrarian. 70 % of the active població treballa in l'agricultura, especialment in the conreu of the vinya, i in l'elaboració of vins. Actualment to Flatcar hi has vint cellers. (ftes and photos to see links of the card)
