The municipal terme of Vilella Alta, of 5,25 km ² d'extensió, dins the Priorat històric, is troba to the vall of the riuet d'Escaladei fins poc abans of the seva confluence to the Montsant riu to the veí terme of Vilella Baixa; aquesta vall it forms l'eix, in direcció NE-SW, of the petit territori, i rep the seu extrem the petit barranc of Font de l'Àliga, procedent of the terme veí of the Mulberry of Montsant. It borders amb els municipis of Gratallops (SW), Vilella Baixa (W), Cabassers (NW), the Mulberry of Montsant (N) i Torroja del Priorat (And i).
