The Masdenverge terme, d'una extensió of 14,66 km ², és situat to the page of the dreta of l'Ebre, aigua amunt d'Amposta. The municipi, per ò, does not arrive to touch the riu. The seva forms allargassada, in direcció of tramuntana to migdia, the terme of Tortosa (Baix Ebre) limits to the N amb, to migdia amb that of Freginals, to llevant amb the d'Amposta i to ponent amb els of Santa Barbara, the Galley i Godall.

Els orígens of the població is remunten to mitjan segle XVIII, quan a grup of pagesos of Tortosa abandonà the ciutat per to occupy i conrear they plans of the South - oest, aleshores ermes. The població s'establí to l'interior d'un meandre of the boulevard of the Galley i posteriorment is bastí the capella or oratori of Mare de Déu of the Roser, to poc més d'un quilòmetre vers llevant.
