Castelnou is the last locality of the region following the river bed of Martín towards his mouth in the Ebro. it places in the margins of an abrupt ravine, in the just limit of the province of Teruel with that of Saragossa.

In his municipal term there have been prehistoric remains (Age of Iron) and ceramics of the Iberian period.

The agriculture centers on the cultivation of olive trees, cereals, forage and fruit, since it has irrigation areas. The cattle has importance big and centers on the sheep

The religious building is the Parochial Church of the Blessed Virgin Concepcion (XVIIIth century), of baroque style. It has big importance bell known as the Town like the "valera".
