Monreal of the Field (Teruel) is placed in center of the Vale of the Jiloca, natural region that extends for west of the province. It is a natural ways crossing between Madrid, Valencia and Saragossa. It is distant 55 Km of Teruel and is, principally, in the left margin of the Rio Jiloca, to an altitude of 939 m. on the sea level. His municipal term has about 89 km2, being the biggest of the region of the average Jiloca.

MONOGRAPHIC MUSEUM OF THE SAFFRON, only one in Spain of these characteristics

This Museum, only one dedicated to the cultivation of the saffron, is placed in the second plant of the House of Culture or of The Beltranas that finds in the Biggest Square of Monreal. The objects that in find have been donated by the population, and one counts with more of 150 pieces that include all the processes of this cultivation, from preparation of the ground for the plantation, up to the sale of product, happening for the collection of the flower, desbrizne or "esbrine" of the same one, toast and weighed, all this illustrated with photos.

Holidays: The night from January 16 until January 17, San Anthony, the Town full of bonfires. On the first Sunday after the Cross of May the Virgin realizes a pilgrimage to the Sanctum of Our Lady of Holm oak, in Half notes. To the south of the population, to approximately two kilometers, the river Jiloca is born as such: to 950 m of altitude the well-known area is as “Ojos of Monreal ” or “los Eyes ”, as locality is known popularly in . The Eyes of Monreal constitute the spring more deeply of the Jurassic or Low aquifer placed under the aquifer Pliocuaternario.

The “Ojos place name ” alludes to the form in which the water runs on the outside: a group of springs each of which of cylindrical or oval aspect, about which sediment piles up and the vegetation grows.
