Small municipality placed in full forming part of the Cultural Park of Albarracín of the same denomination.
Occurring of Royuela is joined to the city of Albarracín, and the first one dated reference recounts to the subscription of an agreement for share-out of the grounds conquered by Alfonso II of Aragon and Calveto of Biel, who says textually: "in the whole Roiola cum suis salmis", alluding clearly to the development of Salinas of Hoyalda.
Between the year 1208 and 1210 there founds the monastery of Santa Maria of the Order of the Trinitarios, which the cultivated one impels of grounds of Val de Royuela, and devotes itself to the redemption of captive prisoners for the Muslims. Salinas of The Hoyalda is one important way for the economy of the Masters of Albarracín.
His city center is placed on a soft hillside concerning church of San Bartolomé, Gothic construction of the XVIth century with three ships covered by vaults of simple crucería. To the feet they raise two bodies of the tower adorned by a worn out eave of Arab tile decorated with gargoyles and finished off with capital.
Holidays: San Bartolomé, on August 24 and 25. The places són in honor of the Virgin of the Pains, being celebrated on September 21 and 22. (ftes and text to see links)
