The name of Rubielos of Mulberry comes of Latin "Rubus Idoeus", due to the plenty of blackberries that extended by the whole region gave color to the plain.

The town is placed to the right of the river Rubielos, born in two sources that embrace Nogueruelas and that, after covering a short one , way ends in the Millet fields before coming to Olva.
