The Town is to 865m on the level of the sea fitted into a small vale, on the foot of a rocky mountain in that, formerly, there was rising a castle of that only light traces stay. As almost the totality of municipalities of the province of Teruel, the population is placed, of ascending way, in the hillside of the most sunny mountain. Steep climbs and narrow streets mark the ascent from the Square of the Church up to that of the Town hall and from this one to the highest, called Square of the Martyrs of the Independence.
Orography of the area presents a city center perfectly adapted to the irregular one creating an attractive picture. In the square principal of the Town the majestic parochial Church rises of Salvador, work of the XVIIth and XVIIIth centuries formed by three ships and airy tower - belfry of square plant. In one of his wings it finds the access preceded by a small atrium opened in arch of half a point.
The scenery is predominantly mountainous. A small vale exists watered by a creek known as "the Resegment of Tramacastiel" who is born to the North of the Town to some 700m of distance, it spills his waters to the river Turia at a height of More of Hyacinth, almost in the limit of the provinces of Teruel and Valencia.
The mountains that surround the town have an average height of 900m on the sea level, being the maximum level "Cerrito Cuatreños", situated between rubiales, Tormón and Tramacastiel that raises them even 1.368m. (ftes and text to see links)
