Population located to 22 kilometers of Híjar and to 30 of Albalate of the Archbishop, localities that share it capital status of the region of Low Martín. It is a question of the locality placed in the most western area of the region, on the banks of the river Aguasvivas, in the limit with the province of Saragossa.

Of typically Moorish configuration, in his city center parochial church of Saint John Bautista emphasizes it , in baroque style and of square plant planned by the architect Agustín Sanz in the XVIIIth under the patronage of the dukes of Híjar. In the outskirts of locality finds the deserted place of the Peak of The Bovine one, declared Iberian deposit Artistic Historic monument and considered a secondary establishment of the near Peak of Alcala, in Azaila.
