Town hall

The name is composed of the Arabic article "to" and of the Castilian term "cannizo-hurdle". One gave to the place for many that were covering the margins of the creek of that name, on the one that did the town to himself. The principal activities in Alcaņizo was always the agriculture of dry land and the cattle; for his term crosses a gully of the Cattle-breeders' guild. In the creek of the same one name that the population crosses exists a bridge that dates, at least, of the year 1760; and in the parochial church he emphasizes an airy veranda on Dorian columns.
