The term "Almorox" is of Arab origin, meaning "the meadows". There is no information on the date of foundation of the Almorox town, but the preserved remains of the culture Roman (Bridge of Barguillas) make to suppose that it dates of this epoch, there being chroniclers who risk to fix the above mentioned date in Pre-Roman Carpetania.
Considering the bellicosity of the area, it is possible to add that this moment of Roman domination was very little lasting, following a period of Celtiberian occupation, as they demonstrate some Roman remains (in place of San Julián).
Due to the geographical situation of the area, the Arabs also happened somewhere here, being dominated the town and belonging to Alfamín district. (Fte.-Texto Delegation)

Nuclei of Almorox: The Pine grove, Park Romillo, Valcarrillo Campuzano.
