Town hall

The term comes "burgus" from the low Latin or of the visigoths; it means "fortified tower", "town", "suburb", "quarter". In this case it would be "a small tower", "minúscua town" or "small quarter".

In someone documents of XIIIth century is nominated "Borguiellas". The origin of the town is in the tenements of vineyards that some neighbors of Toledo were possessing, of there that it is said that Burguillos was always a wine vault of Toledo. Place was realengo of the Corregimiento of Toledo in the XVIth century. In this one century Our Lady of Burguillos describes a called chapel, of venerable antiquity and of a lot of devotion, which constructed itself little after the conquest of Toledo.
