This name obeys the multiple kidlings houses that they were constructing, which for being rudimentary were called "Huts", and the by-name comes from the region "Sagra". The origins of this poblamiento go back to the Roman epoch; age of that time known with the name of Miralcázar. Then, as her Relation of 1575, it was called Scaffoldings. The Huts village was donated by Alfonso VI to the archbishop don Bernardo, who delivered it, together with other places, to the church toledana of Santa Maria. Años later suffered a hard attack of the Almoravid ones that left it almost destroyed. The monastery of San Clemente, between 1175 and 1207, was owner of some grounds in this village. In 1213 the archbishop of Toledo, Inlet don Rodrigo Ximénez, donates his Huts village to the cathedral, for light. In the XVIth century it keeps on being a village of Toledo. Reigning Carlos III acquired the Huts place the house marquesal of Montealegre, her giving the town title. (Fte.-Texto Delegation) |
