The Christian domain is repopulated down, in the place known by San Nicolás of Pozuelo, later called Round Preserve. In 1142 it is donated, the village, which orders to repopulate Alfonso VII, to monastery of Batres's Santa Maria. Already in the year 1204 one speaks of the farmhouses of Pozuelo and Camarena as of different places, the population of that one is probably that this one was absorbing. The church of Toledo was acquiring grounds in Camarena. This way it spends the town to to depend on the archbishops of Toledo. In the XIIth and XIIIth centuries two populations appear with the name of Camarena Suso and Camarena Yuso (Camarena and Camarenilla). In 1498 Camarena emancipated of dominion of the archbishops of Toledo, to surrender again during Felipe's reign IV.
