Cedillo turns out to be documented in 1152, with name of "Cidetto" that is diminutive of "Brave man or Seid", that "gentleman" means . In this case he would be the "small gentleman".

It could exist like farmhouse in the XIth century. In 1552 the count of Almerico gave letter to the settlers of Cedillo, between them Christians, Mudejars and Jews appear . Alfonso VIII was finding in this one town in 1211 in union of several gentlemen, one of them gift Pedro Ruyz de Azagra, master of Albarracín master of the Order of Santiago. There that of Azagra gives suit homage to the Order Santiaguista. In 1216 the Order gives jurisdiction to the town Saint John of Jerusalem. Juan II did favor, in 1445, of the Cedillo place together with Humanes, Pansies, Pero Moro y Guadamur to don Pedro López of Ayala, the first feudal master of Cedillo. The second count of Fuensalida, master of Cedillo, don Pedro López de ayala, sells for public writing, in 1487 the Cedillo town to don Hernando Alvarez of Toledo.
